Ailsa started her accountancy career at the age of 16 with a Wirral based accountancy practice.Having remained there for 10 years, she moved to a local accountancy practice as an accounts and audit senior where she worked for a further 8 years.
After a five year spell of self- employment Ailsa returned to her previous employers where she spent three years as Practice Manager.
In August 2013, Ailsa was recruited as Practice Manager by Langtons and has responsibility for the financial and management reporting for the practice.
Alice joined Langtons in 2007 having previously qualified at another local accountancy firm.Alice is a dedicated member of the specialist Langtons Corporate Finance team and has strong experience of undertaking financial due diligence, financial modelling and lead advisory support work, including corporate finance transactions such as acquisitions, fundraisings and sale assignments.
Chris joined Langtons in 2018 having spent a number of years working in practice in Warrington. Chris largely deals with SME clients, providing practical advice on all day-to-day compliance matters, as well as a focus on management accounts and year-end compliance services.
Dave started his career in the Inland Revenue before moving to the accountancy profession, initially in London, then returning to Liverpool.He joined Langtons in 2001 and is responsible for personal and non-corporate business tax.
John’s IT career began with HM Customs & Excise in 1991.During the years prior to joining Langtons he has worked as an IT consultant for financial institutions, the Manchester Commonwealth Games and an IT support company.Having provided support to Langtons for a number of years, he joined the firm in 2006.
As well as responsibility for all things IT “in house” John also currently provides IT Strategy and Support for a number of Langtons’ clients, within the Langtons Systems Solutions team.
Having graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Mathematics, Josh joined Langtons in 2015 and completed his training with the firm to become ACA qualified whilst working in the Audit and Accounts team.
Josh gained significant experience in audit and year-end accounts preparation and now works in the Corporate Finance team.
Kevin trained in the Inland Revenue, rising to tax officer higher grade, before moving to the accountancy profession with Deloitte. He joined Langtons in 1984 and is responsible for all personal and non-corporate business tax.
Lucinda joined Langtons in 2013, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor. In 2018 Lucinda joined a top ten firm gaining experience in corporation tax compliance and a wide range of tax advisory areas. Lucinda re-joined Langtons in 2021 and now acts as Corporate Tax Manager for the firm.
Lucinda graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Natural Sciences.
Phil specialises in providing tax advice to corporate entities, including minimising corporate tax liabilities and identifying tax planning opportunities. He also manages a number of clients, offering practical business advice as well as a core focus on compliance services, with a particular focus on the education sector.
Phil graduated from the University of Durham with a degree in Modern Languages and joined Langtons in 2006, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant three years later. He completed his Chartered Tax Advisor examinations in 2012 and applied for full membership in 2018.
Ross qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 before spending three years in the audit department at Price Waterhouse.He joined Langtons in 1988 and, with over 25 years’ experience in the profession, holds the position of Senior Audit Manager.
Simon graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1995 and joined Langtons in the same year.He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 and was appointed a Manager in 1999.As well as managing some of the firm’s largest audit assignments, Simon also assists many of our clients with the preparation of year end accounts, management accounts and projections.
Steven joined Langtons in 1999 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. After a two year break away from Langtons in industry from 2004 to 2006, Steven re-joined the firm and now acts as a Client Relationship Manager. Steven now deals with the firm’s largest audit clients, often preparing consolidated accounts for medium sized groups, though he also maintains a number of smaller clients which he assists. His areas of speciality are company and consolidated accounts.
